The Wonderful Future That Never Was
I would like to focus on the video telephones and the ultrasound that was predicted in the 1900s. The video telephone consist of you having a television there with you and you would have to press a button to go to the telephone and when you connect with the person you will see the person. Now in days we have Skype which is something we do easily and we don't actually need a television, we could use a cell phone! Back then I'm sure they were fascinated with just using there television with their technology. The ultrasound machine that was used back then is anything but small. Its a huge machine that you must sit under and water is placed over you in a plastic bag for the "sonic beam." It basically just showed the conditions of the organs in your body and would make sure you didn't need surgery. Ultrasound in today's world lets you see a lot of problems in the body and seeing a unborn baby.

I like that you talked directly about the then and now, and the differences of the reactions given when the products were introduced. It is so weird thinking that technology has advanced so fast. The opposition to that idea is that we also haven’t advanced so fast that we are living the lives of the characters in Back to the Future. I am still waiting for the day that Skype doesn’t freeze 50,000 times in one conversation.
